1. Jordan, wie geht’s dir aktuell – und wie fühlt es sich an, wieder auf der Bühne zu stehen?

Ich bin bestens drauf, danke! Neben Riot City läuft auch privat vieles richtig gut, und die Zukunft sieht für mich und meine Familie sehr vielversprechend aus. Es fühlt sich großartig an, die Maschine wieder ins Rollen zu bringen und mit den Fans eine gute Zeit zu haben.

2. Ihr habt mit Electric Elite die Welt bereist – wie habt ihr die Pause danach genutzt?

Nach den planetenumspannenden Touren brauchten wir definitiv Zeit zum Auftanken und um unser Leben in Kanada wieder zu stabilisieren. Dustin hat in Deutschland seine eigene Tourmanagement-Firma namens „Road to Hell“ gegründet – das hält ihn ordentlich auf Trab. Trotzdem entstehen im Hintergrund neue Ideen, das kannst du mir glauben.

3. Ihr seid weltweit unterwegs – fehlen euch überhaupt noch Kontinente?

Es ist absolut verrückt. Wir waren wirklich überall – außer in Afrika und der Antarktis.

4. Am 4. Oktober 2025 spielt ihr wieder beim Keep it True. Was bedeutet euch die Rückkehr?

Wir freuen uns riesig. Das letzte Mal bei Rising war besonders, weil es mit der Veröffentlichung von Electric Elite zusammenfiel. Damals spielten wir mittags – dieses Jahr haben wir einen deutlich besseren Slot.

Roldan wird bei dieser Tour leider nicht dabei sein, da er wichtige persönliche Dinge zu regeln hat. Dafür springt unser guter Freund Aidan Desmarais ein. Ein großartiger Typ – ich freue mich für ihn, dass er diese Bühne und das Festival erleben darf.

5. Riot City hat mit zwei Alben mächtig Eindruck gemacht. Gibt’s schon Neues?

Oh ja! Im Riot City-Camp brodelt es. Neue Musik entsteht gerade, und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem, was bisher geschrieben wurde. Es wird schnell und hart – aber auch mit Raum für Entwicklung, ohne uns zu wiederholen.

6. Wie schafft ihr es, als Väter weiterhin Vollgas zu geben?

Ein Teil unseres Erfolgs sind die Menschen in unserem Leben, die unseren Wahnsinn mitmachen und uns lieben, egal wo wir gerade sind. Ich bin wirklich gesegnet mit so viel Unterstützung. Auch wenn ich unterwegs bin, hole ich mir vor jedem Auftritt Kraft von meiner Familie.

7. Wenn du auf die letzten Jahre zurückblickst – was geht dir durch den Kopf?

Es ist immer wieder surreal. Ich kann es oft selbst kaum glauben. Es ist eine große Ehre, um die Welt zu reisen und Musik zu spielen, die die Leute feiern. Die riesigen Crews, die alles möglich machen, die ganze Planung – das ist einfach unglaublich. Und ich darf mittendrin stehen. Jedes Mal, wenn ich einen Backstage-Pass bekomme, geht mir die Düse – und ich glaube nicht, dass sich dieses Gefühl jemals ändern wird.

Lieber Jordan, vielen Dank für eure kraftgeladene Musik und dass ihr uns in Deutschland so oft beehrt… . Ich finde es bemerkenswert, wie ihr euch so schnell entwickelt habt und das nicht nur in der Szene, wie Hard&Live, sondern in den echt großen Fachzeitungen wo ihr mit der letzten Scheibe Nummer ein geworden seid.

1. Jordan, how are you doing these days – and how does it feel to be back on stage in 2025?

I’m doing great, thank you! On top of Riot City, I have a lot of great things going on in my life, and the future looks bright for myself and my family. That said, it feels good to get the machine rolling again and be out there with the fans having a great time.

2. You toured the world with Electric Elite – how did you use the break afterwards?

After the planet-spanning tours we did for Electric Elite, we definitely needed some time to recharge and focus on sustaining our lives back in Canada. Dustin, while living in Germany, has started his own tour management company called “Road to Hell”. That’s been keeping him pretty busy. With all this going on, you can still bet that new ideas are coalescing.

3. You’ve played all over the world – are there any continents left?

It’s absolutely insane. We’ve been everywhere except Africa and Antarctica.

4. On October 4th, 2025, you’ll return to the KEEP IT TRUE Festival. What does that mean to you?

We are very much looking forward to coming back. Rising is special to us as last time marked the release of Electric Elite. Our last time playing Rising we definitely played early. This time we get an even better slot in the lineup.

Roldan won’t be along with us for this string of dates, as he’s got some important personal matters that he’s engaged with. Filling in for him is our good friend Aidan Desmarais. He’s a great guy and I’m excited for him to experience the great stage and festival that is Keep It True Rising.

5. Riot City made a big impact with two albums – is there anything new in the works?

Yes! There is definitely something brewing in the Riot City camp. New music is being written. I’m very happy with what’s been done so far. You can bet that it’ll be fast and tough, while allowing us to grow without repeating ourselves.

6. How do you manage to keep storming the world with Riot City Metal as fathers?

Part of what makes Riot City successful is the people in our lives that put up with our bullshit and love us no matter where we are. It truly is a blessing to have such supportive people in my life. When I’m on the road, I still look to my family for support before I go on stage.

7. Looking back at the past few years – what goes through your mind?

For myself, it’s always a crazy thing to think about. I’m still in disbelief all the time. It truly is a distinct honour to travel around the world to perform music that people love. To witness these large crews putting everything together and making it all possible. All the planning and work that goes into it on our behalf… It’s unbelievable. Meanwhile I have this incredible part in the whole thing as a performer. Every time I get a backstage laminate, I shit a little brick and as long as we do this, I don’t see that feeling ever going away.

Dear Jordan, thanks for your high-powered heavy metal and for visiting us in Germany so often. It is remarkable how quickly you’ve grown: Hitting number one in major metal magazines with your last record. Fingers crossed for the show at Keep It True Rising 2025 and the new album.
