Legendry veröffentlichen mit „Alive Behind the Castle Walls“ einen beeindruckenden Livemitschnitt ihres Konzerts beim Keep it True Rising IV Festival 2024. Das Set umfasst fünf Songs aus dem Earthwarrior Cycle sowie als Zugabe eine Coverversion von Manila Roads „Necropolis“.

Die drei Musiker – Vidarr, Kicker und Arcane Hammer – präsentieren die Songs mit konzentrierter Spielfreude, großem Druck und Präzision wie ein Uhrwerk. Das ungewöhnliche Bühnen-Setting, bei dem sich die Musiker in drei Zonen aufteilen und diese unsichtbaren Kreise nicht verließen, verlieh dem Auftritt eine kammermusikalische Atmosphäre, die im Kontrast zur brachialen Kraft der Instrumente und des Gesangs stand.

Besonders auffällig sind die eingesetzten Instrumente: eine doppelhalsige Gitarre, ein doppelhalsiger Bass, ein Mellotron und Schlagwerk, das an Tubular Bells erinnert.

Dazu das ruhige gelbe und blaue Licht – die Bühne wurde in einen großen Theatersaal verwandelt, der das Publikum am frühen Mittag in den Bann zog. Es herrschte eine einzigartige Stimmung.

Wer dafür einen guten Eindruck erhalten will, dem ist das Intro Accustic, Percussion In zu „Time Immortal Wept“ empfohlen, bei dem man förmlich ganz Würzburg fühlen kann, wie es bei den Sounds von Legendry mitgeht!

Die Aufnahme wurde in der Posthalle professionell festgehalten und erscheint jetzt als CDU und Tape, die direkt über Bandcamp bestellt werden können. Für das europäische Publikum ist die Live-Scheibe bereits digital auf Bandcamp ab 6 Dollar erhältlich.

Legendry – Alive Behind the Castle Walls (March 6, 2026)

Legendry release an impressive live recording of their concert at the Keep it True Rising IV Festival 2024. The set features five songs from the Earthwarrior Cycle plus a cover of Manilla Road’s „Necropolis“ as an encore.

The three musicians – Vidarr, Kicker, and Arcane Hammer – deliver the songs with focused enthusiasm, powerful drive, and clockwork precision. The unusual stage setup, where the musicians divided themselves into three zones and did not leave these invisible circles, gave the performance a chamber music atmosphere contrasting with the raw power of the instruments and vocals. Particularly striking are the instruments used: a double-neck guitar, a double-neck bass, a Mellotron, and percussion reminiscent of Tubular Bells.

Accompanied by calm yellow and blue lighting, the stage was transformed into a large theater hall that captivated the audience early in the day. The atmosphere was unique.

For a good impression, the acoustic intro with percussion in „Time Immortal Wept“ is recommended, where you can almost feel the entire city of Würzburg moving with the sounds of Legendry!

The recording was professionally captured at the Posthalle and will be released on CD and tape. The live LP is already available digitally on Bandcamp starting at $6.
